Bitumen on canvas
2ft x 6ft

Jata Negara I and II explores the essence of Malaysians Coat of Arms through two dynamic artworks, reimagined via the lens of pareidolia. Each piece transforms elements of Malaysia’s national emblem into abstracted landscapes, blending historic symbolisms with natural forms. The first artwork, from the Jata Negara, a tiger is depicted as rugged mountain ridges, embodying strength, courage, and Malaysia's unwavering spirit. Their intertwining shapes merge with dense forests, showcasing the harmony between culture, tradition and environment. Tigers are also the finding character of similarity between races in Malay, Chinese and Indians culture. Malaccan Tree is shown upon as a historical foundation to the Malay Peninsula in the Jata Negara, and as it gave the name to The Malaccan Empire. It (Malaccan Empire) gave the Malays a drawn law to build its own form of power and governance all through from the Strait of Malacca to the South China Sea. All through everything, Jata Negara I embodies and exhibits the forms of Malaysian as a whole in landscapes.
